Tender Details

Tender are invited for An annual contract for actuarial services related to the medical expenses of the HealthChoices program. The actuarial firm will provide assistance in the following areas : Develop actuarially sound capitation rates considering factors of historical spending, adjustments, programs changes, lags, TPL, and contract language. Evaluate DHS' rate setting methodology and make recommendations for the County's response to DHS' rate offers. Development of potential mid-year rate adjustments. Analysis of DHS' potential mid-year rate adjustments. Assistance to County staff in rate negotiations with DHS/Mercer financial and actuarial staff. Periodically assist County in evaluation of the estimates of claims liability and provide written opinion on accuracy of medical expense lags. Assist County's Auditing firm in the annual audit related to the claims liability and medical expense compliance attestations.
