Description : The Halifax Regional Water Commission (Halifax Water) is soliciting proposals for an engineering consultant to review and analyze process water requirements, propose recommendations, and design new industrial water systems that will provide industrial process water to various processes at the Harbour Solutions Wastewater Treatment Facilities (3). The three Harbour Solutions Facilities share similar processes and have similar existing industrial process water systems. The goal of the project is to reduce the amount of potable water usage used in treatment processes, while ensuring the industrial process water system has adequate capacity, quality, and reliability to supply suitable effluent water to each treatment sub-processes. Proponents are welcome to attend a voluntary Pre-Proposal Conference to be held at the Halifax Wastewater Treatment Facility, on September 16th, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Following a brief presentation there will be an opportunity to tour the facility. The Project Engineer will be on hand to answer any questions about the project. Note: Separate individual tours of the facility will not be granted. Tours of Dartmouth and Herring Wastewater Treatment Facility will be scheduled if requested by proponents.
