This is an intent to sole source announcement. The department of the navy, space and naval warfare systems center, pacific intends to award a firm fixed

price purchase order to trimble military and advanced systems, inc., 510

deguigne drive sunnyvale, ca 94085. The vendor will provide 4 trimble force

524d global positioning system receiver cards, part number 80040-14-u50a. The

four receiver cards will be used to serve as the primary source of positioning,

navigation and timing for the navigation sensor system interface (navssi)

block4.2.4 system scheduled for installation on u.s. Navy ships lhd 4 and lhd

5. The navssi (an/ssn-6 (v) ) system is a program of record with the dod. Each

ship requires 2 trimble force 524d gps receiver card for navssi system

configuration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive

proposals. Contract to be awarded iaw simplified acquisition far part 13. No

hard copy rfq will be prepared or made available for distribution. A

determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this

notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Authority for other

than full and open competition is 10 u.s.c. 2304 (c)(1) and far 6.302-1, only

one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency
