Description: EPFL intends to acquire a fully implantable stimulator system for its "Translational Neuroengineering (TNE)" laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering (STI).

The equipment will be dedicated to state-of-the-art research in a fully implantable solution for a long-term human study on bionic hands with intraneural sensory feedback:

Intraneural interface for stimulation and recording for transradial amputees for:

- Development of effective strategies for providing tactile and position information for transradial amputees;

- The study of the decoding of motor signals obtained by intraneural recording;

- Clinical tests, neuropsychological and instrumental (functional brain and nerve imaging) evaluation of the hand prosthesis in 2 transradial amputees.
