Description: Rheinbahn AG is the operator of public transport in the state capital of Dusseldorf and the surrounding region. Currently, the bus fleet consists of 474 own vehicles, which are maintained and parked in five operating courses.
In order to meet the requirements for air dream content, the Rheinbahn will in future focus on the use of emission-free vehicles.
In order to take into account the requirements of the newly procured buses in terms of energy supply and preconditioning, the Rhine railway at the Department site Düsseldorf Heerdt on the Eupener Straße 56 plans the new building for about 50 buses. For this new construction, which is to be carried out as bus carport with supply technology (compressed air, charging energy) and a photovoltaic system on the roof, about 4, 000 m2 are available.
