Tenders are invited for Food For Training.
PU-AMI is implementing two livelihood programs in Lebanon in 2018 and 2019, a WFP-funded project “Food For Training” and a BPRM funded project “IRSCAP”, to ensure sustainable and better access to skills and job opportunities for Syrian Refugees and vulnerable Lebanese. To support beneficiaries in securing sustainable livelihoods, PU-AMI uses an integrated approach based on three components:
1. Improving beneficiaries’ employability through market-based skill trainings and soft skill trainings (FFT)
2. Linking beneficiaries with markets through On the Job Training and job matching
3. Supporting start-ups and micro-enterprises through business development training and coaching
Within the first component, PU-AMI will support the improvement of professional skills of about 540 refugees and vulnerable Lebanese through Market Based Skill Training (FFT).
Moreover, in the other components, the link between skill improvement and actual livelihood opportunities of trainees will be strengthened through linkages with market activities: job matching, on-the-job trainings, nano and micro business development.
1. Description of services expected
PU-AMI is looking for local partners or services providers willing to implement specific activities, within the projects.
Trainings and other services (LOTS A1, B1, C1)
PU-AMI is looking for one or several organizations, companies and/or NGOs having the capacity to provide accelerated technical and educational trainings to project’s beneficiaries.:
1. Vocational accelerated trainings
2. Soft-skill and job searching trainings
Trainings provided, based on job market demand, should be focused on building practical know-hows to raise employability of participants, in accelerated courses of 120 to 180 hours over 2 to 3 months.
In addition, the partner will be responsible for:
· Providing experienced professional trainers
· Arranging and providing training venue[1]
· Developing training courses along with PU-AMI technical advisors
· Organize trainings on a daily basis
· Participate in the evaluation of skill and knowledge building of participants
· Develop training materials for participants to sustain their knowledge after the training
· Report on achievement to PU-AMI
In the frame of the second component (Linking beneficiaries with market), partners should be able to provide complementary services to beneficiaries:
· Placement in internships within local enterprises and business
· Mentoring of interns
· Support to PU-AMI to develop professional toolkits in line with training contents, this will be however purchased by PU-AMI
