7. Contract description
Preparation of a Feasibility Study (FS), Detailed Design and Tender Documents for a small hydropower project (1 MW) to provide captive supply of electricity to the Greenville, a town of approx. 17 000 residents in Sinoe County, Southeast Liberia. The project was studied on pre-feasibility level in early 2018. The indicative design stipulates the implementation of a low-head (5.5 m) run-of-river type hydropower plant. Required works include further site investigations (e.g. topography, geological mapping (no drilling)), hydrological studies, optimization of layout and design and FS-level environmental and social impact assessment. Study of transmission and distribution are not part of the assignment. Optional, fee based services for works supervision.
Anticipated duration of the services is 9 months for the FS (plus 3 years for the optional Construction Supervision)

EUR 600 000 + (optional EUR 1 500 000 for the optional Construction Supervision)
