Draft Terms of Reference for External consultant Contract----------------------------------------------------------Producing content for ILO Africa "100 Years 100 Lives" Background and contextThe International Labour Organization will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2019. It will be the occasion for the ILO to show its relevance in today's world and highlight howweare making a difference in changing people's lives.Several events - under the global umbrella of's lives all over the Africa Region. 2. AssignmentThe Africa Region has decided to create a major communications product designed for the general public aimed at gathering 100 stories showing the positive influence ILO action has had on 100 individuals from all age groups.The stories will be presented on a dedicated web page and possibly also in a print version. Stories will also be shared on ILO regional and national social media accounts.The project should be completed during the first semester of 2019. Stories should be finalized by 31 March, 2019. However, more stories could be added throughout 2019 and beyond, since the idea is not to stop at the end of the Centenary year.All ILO offices and projects in the region will beasked to provide material that can be the basis for at least one human interest story for each country that they cover. They should focus on one person who has been supported by the ILO one way or another (a programme description is not enough). Ideally, each story will also feature one high resolution photo or more.A dedicated web page will show a clickable map of Africa as well as a list of topics.Web users can then choose to click on the country of their choice or on one of the topics.
