Expression of Interest are invited for Integrated Economic Development Project in the Mining Sector / DEIM.

In its "Mining Sector Standards and Standards" component, this project aims to establish the necessary conditions for better implementation of environmental, transparency, health and safety at work standards, human rights standards and for compliance with Mauritanian legal provisions in the artisanal mining sector and small-scale mining.

Your mission is to support the MPEMi (Directorate General of Mines) in these areas through a participatory approach including private operators, municipalities, other relevant ministries and civil society. The services to provide relate to several areas of work. These include:

- Realization of awareness-raising measures at the municipal and national level to promote good practices and the application of standards in matters of safety at work, health, human rights and protection of the environment, especially in artisanal mining activities gold (processing center);

- Development of a reference framework on international conventions, standards and standards to be respected in the artisanal mining / small-scale mining sector in Mauritania;

- Development of a concept of training and dissemination of standards and standards to be applied;

- Training of the multipliers of the state, the private sector and the civil society;

- The technical and methodological training of MEPMi and MEDD inspectors;

- The design of a monitoring and information system on compliance with standards and standard in an "open data" approach;

You are an individual consultant or a consulting firm specializing in the requested services.
