Tender Details

Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for the Environmental Impact Assessment, Hydrological Studies and Bathymetric Survey for the Desilting of the Ogun River Bed Upstream the Water Treatment Plant.

The Ogun State Government through the Federal Government of Nigeria has received a financing from the French Development Agency (AFD), and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the following project consultancy services for the environmental impact assessment, hydrological studies and bathymetric survey for the desilting of the Ogun River bed upstream the water treatment plant.
The Services of the consultant shall consist of the environmental impact assessment, hydrological studies and bathymetric survey for the desilting of the Ogun River bed upstream the water treatment plant.
The services include: (i) preparation of Environmental and Social Impact assessment (ESIA), including Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP); (ii) Hydrological Studies; and (iii) Bathymetric Survey.
The Ogun State Water Corporation hereby invites consultants to show their interest in delivering the Services described above.
Eligibility criteria to AFD’s financing are specified in sub-clause 1.3 of the “Procurement Guidelines for AFD-Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries”, available online on AFD’s website www.afd.fr.
Interested consultants must provide information evidencing that they are qualified and experienced to perform those Services. For that purpose, documented evidence of recent and similar services shall be submitted.
If the consultant is a Joint Venture (JV), the Expression of Interest shall include a copy of the JV Agreement entered into by all members. Alternatively, a letter of intent to execute a JV Agreement in the event of a successful proposal shall be signed by all members and submitted with the Expression of Interest, together with a copy of the proposed Agreement.
Determination of the similarity of the experiences will be based on:
- The contracts size;
- The nature of the Services: Consultancy services for environmental impact assessment, hydrological studies and bathymetric survey.
- The technical area and expertise: Environmental, hydrology and bathymetry Engineering/Sciences.
- The location: Developing countries, Africa, Nigeria.

The firm/joint venture shall present maximum Fifteen (15) completed or ongoing relevant similar assignments [with a relevant balance between the fields of environmental and social impact assessment, hydrological studies and bathymetric survey], performed during the last Five (5) years.
The Client will also take into account for the evaluation of the applications the following items:
- Skills and availability of in-house capacities to provide technical support to the on-site experts.
- Quality assurance procedures and certifications of the consultant: Quality management certification, Environmental and social certification.
Among the submitted applications, Ogun State Water Corporation will shortlist a maximum of 6 consultants, to whom the Request for Proposals to carry out the Services shall be sent.
