Expression of Interest are invited for Technical Assistance Consultancy.

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is an international non-governmental organization that aims to improve the lives of vulnerable populations through access to affordable, better quality, nutritious foods. It mobilizes public/private partnerships that implement a diverse range of sustainable nutrition solutions at scale and provides financial and technical support to organizations working in nutrition. In 2013, GAIN-supported programs reached an estimated 811 million people across almost 40 countries (more information is available at www.gainhealth.org).

About the Marketplace for Nutritious Foods

We are currently implementing a project in Rwanda titled, the Marketplace for Nutritious Foods (http://www.gainmarketplace.com/Rwanda) which targets agricultural value chains and looks to shape markets to ultimately deliver more diverse and nutritionally rich diets.

As part of this project we will be providing both financial and technical assistances to small and medium size enterprises who are delivering nutritious foods to low income domestic markets. In order to help us do this, we are currently looking to build out our database of consultants that can support us in the delivery of this technical assistance. These technical assistances will be delivered through both joint/group trainings and tailored technical assistance to individual companies.

Quality assurance and control (QAQC)
Standards and compliance
