Expression of Interest are invited for Recruitment of a Design and Consultant Services.

The Government of Cameroon has applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Infrastructure and Value Chain Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include the design and supervision of the construction of various key infrastructures to be realized by the project. This follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) Published in ‘JEUNE AFRIQUE’ No; 7955 of the 27th August 2017.

The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Agricultural Infrastructure and Value Chain Development Project (AIVDP), on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide specific information, which demonstrate that they are fully qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Experience in the following area or tasks shall be the minimum requirement for the assignment which shall consist of:

• Reviewing of existing designs of technological options (for civil, mechanical and electrical works)
• Elaboration of studies and further detailed evaluation of technical specifications required for various infrastructures and processing facilities to be realized by the project.
• Supervision of the construction of works and processing plants
• In collaboration with the Project Manager, the Infrastructure Engineer and Procurement specialist, ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the procurement of various equipment/works and detailed definition of the procurement plan.
• Preparation of detail preventive maintenance programme for all new facilities and equipments.

Consultants may express interests in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association, which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition).
