Description : Expression of Interest - HCR/CAI/EOI/001/2020 Interpreter Training Services UNHCR is seeking information on availability of an experienced service provider in Egypt to systematize trainings to interpreters working with refugees and asylum seekers in the operation in Egypt.By offering interpretation during Registration, RSD and Resettlement interviews from and to more than 35 languages, the interpreters are fulfilling an essential and responsible function in the UNHCR operation in Egypt. High quality translation is important as it is the basis for the proper recording of refugees` data, flight stories and fears of persecution which then forms the basis for fair and credible decisions. For this reason, regular training of the interpreters is critical. The necessary qualification and skills especially, when it comes to interpretation in the very sensitive context of an asylum procedure can only be guaranteed through regular trainings. Service providers who have a proven experience in the sector of training interpreters in the humanitarian / refugee context and are familiar with basic data protection standards are invited to express their interest by e-mail addressed to:
