Description: The Berliner Wasserbetriebe intend to upgrade the Waßmannsdorf sewage treatment plant (2.1 million inhabitants in the future) in two stages. In the first stage of expansion, an additional 2 lines will be added to the biological treatment stage to increase the sewage treatment plant intake, as well as the construction of a process water treatment system and the construction of a mixed water storage tank. In the course of these measures, the sludge treatment will be changed in terms of process technology and partially expanded. A flocculation filtration downstream of the biological purification stage is subsequently installed as a second expansion stage for the entire inflow of the sewage treatment plant.
