Tender Details

General Procurement Notice for Expansion of Bovilla Water Treatment Plant.

Ujësjellës Kanalizime Tiraneë Sh. A. (“UKT” or “Company”), a municipal water company in the City of Tirana, has received the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to implement an investment project to finance improvements in the water supply system, more specifically for (i) construction of a pipeline for transferring water from a water treatment plant to the western part of the City; and (ii) extension of a water treatment plant.

The project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 19.5 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the goods, works and services.

Open tendering for the above contracts is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2018.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the loan from the European Bank will be subject to the

national procurement legislation, as well as procured in line with the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules, edition 2017. As such, procurement procedures will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
