Expression of Interest are invited for Electric Vehicle (EV) Pilot Preparation in Majuro Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

The Government of the RMI (GoRMI) has requested the World Bank´s (WB) support to (i) increase the use of renewable energy to at least 20 percent by 2020 while reducing by 20 percent its economy-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and (ii) reduce subsidies to the sector by lowering the operating costs, following its National Energy Policy (NEP).In its commitment to support the GoRMI, the World Bank implements Sustainable Energy Development Project (SEDeP) project that includes Component 2 on Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Loss Reduction Program This Component supports the implementation of an electric vehicle (EV) driving system, as a pilot, and provides technical assistance (TA) to GoRMI on EV policy framework and the guidelines for a large-scale deployment of this technology.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.
