The Plant Room was constructed in 1994. It was recently defined as a Confined Space by Historic Environment Scotland s Health & Safety Officer and is vulnerable to flooding from the river Deveron. Abstract: The existing underground plant room, which houses the sprinkler pumps, cold water booster set, water tank, sprinkler tank and associated electrical equipment, is located to the East of Duff House. The Plant Room was constructed in 1994. It was recently defined as a Confined Space by Historic Environment Scotland s Health & Safety Officer and is vulnerable to flooding from the river Deveron. Due to these concerns, it has been determined that the plant room will be decommissioned and removed, with two new, above-ground plantrooms constructed to the North of the house.
