Description: The German National Library (DNB) intends to digitize damaged printed media with approx. 1 million pages from the publication period from 1913 at its Leipzig location due to acid damage and other causes. The digital copies should serve the purpose of long-term archiving as well as the users of the DNB in the reading rooms and, as far as legally possible, be made available worldwide for access via the Internet.

The intention is to start the project on September 1st, 2020. The term is set at 24 months. As option 2, the client reserves the right to extend it by up to 12 months in order to have further damaged volumes digitized on a monthly basis (option 1).

In addition, the client reserves the option to additionally order up to 2 further limited orders per year with a total of approx. 200, 000 pages (per contract year) (option 2).
