Synopsis : The Saskatchewan Health Authority Is Planning To Upgrade The Existing Radio System Used By Security And Maintenance Staff In Saskatoon Area Hospitals And Care Units With A State Of The Art Quality And High Performance Radio System Having Value Added Services Delivered By Interfacing With Information Technology Infrastructure And Facilities Management Applications.This Will Be Accomplished By Either Purchasing, Leasing, Partnering, Or Any Combination Thereof; With A Vendor Or Service Provider.The Future Digital Radio System For Saskatoon Area Should Be Scalable, Enterprise, And Interoperable Solution With High Fidelity Audio. Sha Has Got Approvals To Use Frequencies In The 800 Mhz Range With 15 Voice Channels And 1 Data Channel. Sha Would Like To Have Unrestricted Access To The Software Application For Managing The Future Radio System Equipped With Value Added And Safety Features. The Radio System Should Have An Architecture To Support High Availability And A 99.999% Uptime. The Future System Should Have A Received Signal Strength Indication (Rssi) Of 90 Dbm Or Stronger Within The Radius Of 5 Km`s From Each Of The Three Acute Care Hospital Campuses In Saskatoon. The System Must Have Rssi Of 70 Dbm Or Stronger Internally Within The Hospital Campus Buildings.
