DHS100 Sector engagement - Financial Wellbeing and Resilience Program

Description : Through the Financial Wellbeing and Resilience Program (FWRP), the Department of Human Services (DHS) provides long-term funding to non-government organisations to deliver programs and services that promote the financial wellbeing and resilience of individuals, families, children, young people and vulnerable communities in each SA Government Region in South Australia.The FWRP aims to alleviate the immediate impact of financial crisis or emergency, as well as to build individual and community resilience to better handle the impact of financial hardship over the longer term. The proposed model of service for the FWRP provides three service streams:emergency assistance;financial counselling; andprograms that support and build community capacity for financial wellbeing and resilience.DHS is now seeking to engage with interested stakeholders to provide constructive feedback on the proposed model of service.
