Request for proposals are invited for Development SAPP SCADA System.
One of the objectives of the SAPP is to provide a forum for the development of a world class, robust, safe, efficient, reliable and stable interconnected electrical power system in the southern African region.
The SAPP achieves its objectives in various ways. One of the ways is to keep members, who are geographically separated from each other, in contact. The Operating Sub-Committee formed the Telecommunications Working Group many years ago.
One of the objectives of the working group is to implement projects necessary for connecting SAPP members for purposes of information sharing. Primarily, power system controllers or operators need to share necessary operational information in real time among themselves. There is also a need to archive information.
After events, they also share information with management and with other stakeholders within a power utility or outside.
