Expression of Interest are invited for Development of Lesotho Tourism Quality Star Grading Manual.

The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the African Development Fund towards implementation of the Economic Diversification Support Project; and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for the development of Lesotho tourism quality star grading manual

The overall objective of this consultancy assignment is to compile a comprehensive quality-grading manual for the accommodation sector that will provide clear guidance on processes to all users such as accommodation sector operators, Grading Assessors, Grading Awards Committee (GAC), Grading Programme Officials and government authorities. The specific objective of the assignment is to:

(i) Review the original grading procedures and documents that LTDC is currently using to form basis for developing consistent procedures that are aligned with LTDC's existing mandate and objectives for the quality assurance programme using the international best practices;

(ii) Compile a robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval and use by LTDC;

(iii) Conduct a validation workshop in order to verify applicability of the processes, organizational arrangements and definitions; and

(iv) Produce a final version of the Grading manual with two sections, namely: Standard operating manual & quality information manual.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy and Methodology for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
