The State of Chile is committed to promoting sustainable tourism development in State Protected Wild Areas. In order to advance with this commitment, it launched in 2015 the "National Plan for Sustainable Tourism Development", a document that establishes a specific line of action for protected areas of the State, which aims to promote the development oftourism in protected areas, through the enhancement of its natural and cultural heritage, the delivery of tourism products and services with high standards of sustainability and quality. Based on this mandate, a "Plan of Action for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas of the State" has been established, which establishes concrete actions to achieve theseobjectives. In this context, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism signed in October 2015 the 90300 Project "Support for the Implementation of the Plan of Action: Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas of the State ", Whose objective is to support the Undersecretariat of Tourism (SST) in the implementation ofthe "Plan of Action for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas of the State" in conjunction with the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), the National Tourism Service (SERNATUR) and other key actors in the management of protected areas. In this framework, seeks to improve the infrastructure of the country's Protected Areas, and as a starting point the presentation is consideredof a design project whose final objective is to improve the conditions of public use of the Park, respecting the conservation objectives thereof.
