1. Ethiopian is established to develop and administer Airports and also perform any other associated activities to enhance and assure safe, reliable and efficient air transportation in the country.

Ethiopian has decided to build new similar (modern and simple structures, functionally the same which takes into consideration the climatic condition of the site) passenger terminal buildings and facilities at Nekemte, Dembidolo, Shire, Kombolcha, Robe, Gode and Jinka Airports and construction of rigid pavement for Apron and Taxiway at Gode airport to meet standard airport facilities. In addition, Ethiopian has decided to widen the Dembidollo Airfield runway strip width from 37.5m to 75m on each side of the center line of the runway and to construct a Runway Strip and Runway End Safety Area at Kombolcha Airport to meet standard requirements. Therefore, Ethiopian is looking for a competent Design-Build Contractor (DBC) for developing preliminary design, and preparation of full working drawings based on the schematic design annexed within this document and executes the construction works of the terminal building.

2. Ethiopian Airlines Group (ET GROUP) now invites eligible bidders of international contractor (GC or BC) of Category one with relevant experience and valid licences or its equivalent (see Section I 3.3) for the year 2017-2018, or more recent if available, to submit sealed tenders for Design Build of Seven Passenger Terminals and Support Facility Buildings at Jinka, Kombolcha, Shire, Robe Gode, Nekemt and Dembidolo Airports in Ethiopia.

5. Any enquiries shall be received not later than October 5, 2019 in writing e- mail, to the address listed above. No enquires will be responded to after that date.

6. Tenderers are requested to follow up the DgMarket and Ethiopian airlines group official websites as all enquiries will be responded to in a form of addenda published at DgMarket and Ethiopian airlines group official website listed above.

7. The Bid comprising of technical and financial documents must be delivered in separate sealed envelopes in two copies as Original & Copy of the document to the address given above on or before October 18, 2019, at 2:30PM. All copies of the Bid shall be submitted in separate envelopes i.e. the (Technical Proposal, Financial Offer, and Bid Security) and one outer envelope, duly marking the inner envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES” both for “The Technical Proposal” and “Financial Offer”. The bid bond shall be part of the technical offer but in a separately sealed envelope.
8. The bid will be publicly opened at 03:00PM, at the same date mentioned above. Only the technical bid documents (envelopes marked as ORIGINAL) shall be opened with the presence of the Bidder’s or their legal representatives. Bidders are invited to attend this meeting in case they want to.
9. The Ethiopian Airlines Group reserves to alter, amend or cancel this request if deemed to be of the interest, to annul the bidding process, and to reject all Bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders.
