The National Housing Trust (NHT) invites qualified contractors to submit tenders to undertake the design and construction of approximately1, 500 housing solutions at the Barrett Hall Housing Development, St. James.

LOCATION:
The property is located approximately 5 km south of the North Coast Highway, less than 14km south west of the Falmouth commercial area. Barrett Hall is within a 7.5km radius of the Rose Hall Great House and less than 1km from the Greenwood Great House, just south of the Greenwood Subdivision.

SCOPE OF WORKS:
The contractor will be required to:
? Prepare the master and sub-division plans.
? Design the houses and infrastructure
? Obtain all relevant agency approvals.
? Construct the housing units and infrastructure.
? Handover infrastructure to the relevant agencies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Tenderers must provide:
? Evidence of tax compliance.
? A copy of a valid National Contracts Commission (NCC) registration certificate with a Grade 1 rating in the categories of Building Construction and Civil Engineering Works.

N.B: A Tender bond stamped by the Commissioner of Stamp Duty in the amount of JA$10, 000, 000.00 is required.

COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS:
Tender documents can be collected from the Procurement Unit, at NHT's Head Office, The Michael Manley Building, 4 Park Boulevard, Kingston 5, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of $3, 500.00 (payable in cash or Manager's Cheque at the NHT Cashier Head Office). Documents will be made available from Wednesday, October 9, 2019, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Note: "Failure to directly purchase the Tender/Bid Documents from the NHT will result in ineligibility of that bid from participating in the procurement process."

RETURN OF DOCUMENTS:
? Sealed bids are to be placed in the designated tender box labelled, "Design Build Contract - Building and Infrastructure Works for Barrett Hall Housing Development, St. James", located in the Procurement Unit on or before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
? Public opening of the bids will follow immediately after the bid submission deadline in the Construction and Development Division Conference Room located on the Ground Floor at the National Housing Trust Head Office Building.
