Description : Context
In the framework of the CLEAR Cotton project: "Elimination of child labor and forced labor in the cotton, textile and clothing value chains: An integrated approach", co-financed by the European Union and implemented implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Labor Organization (ILO) aims to contribute to the elimination of child laborts and forced labor in all its forms, especially the worst forms, in the cotton, textile and clothing value chain in targeted producing countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Pakistan and Peru). The project aims to strengthen national legislative and regulatory frameworks to combat child labor while encouraging local governments, public service providers and other stakeholderse concerned (social partners, the private sector, civil society organizations, agricultural stakeholders, etc.) to take effective action to stop child and forced labor in the districts and communities that produce it and in clothing / textile factories.
