GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

This is an update to the General Procurement Notice for this project originally published on the EBRD website on 19 October 2015.

Communal State Enterprise “Passenger Transport of Khujand” (the “Company”) wholly owned by City of Khujand intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [the Bank] and of a grant from EBRD-s SSF for a project to establish a reliable passenger transportation service and create a basic public transport network in the City of Khujand. The project, which had a total estimated cost of USD 26 million equivalent, requires the procurement of the works, goods and services for the following remaining project components:

Depot modernisation including supply of depot equipment;

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2019.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
