South Somerset District Council (SSDC) is seeking to commission consultants to produce an all-mode transport evidence base in support of the Council s emerging Local Plan Review. Consultation on the Preferred Options (Regulation 18) took place between June and September 2019. The consultation document and representations received are available to view at https://southsomerset.inconsult.uk/consult.ti/PreferredOptionsConsultation/consultationHome The Local Plan Review is being carried out with progress to the Publication stage (Regulation 19) expected in mid-2021, with submission of the Plan to the Secretary of State later that year. In order to prepare the next iteration of the Local Plan Review, the evidence to support it must be completed by the end of 2020 at the latest. The modelling evidence base will need to indicate both the current traffic situation as well as that at the end of the plan period taking into account the economic and housing growth aspirations set out within the plan, including those necessary to support preferred site allocations.
