Tender Details

Contractor for the Design and Construction of the Philippine Pavillion at the Philippine Garments and Leather Goods Industries and Fabric Expo

The Philippine garments, textiles, leather goods and footwear industries have been facing numerous challenges in the global market. The performance of the Philippine garments industry has been continuously declining following the phase-out of the country's exports quota to the US and Europe in 2005. This also led to the demise of the Philippine textile industry. The Philippine leather industry, on the other hand, is facing stiff competition with neighboring countries due to lack of market development strategies and programs.

The Philippine Garments and Leather Industries and Fabric Expo will be held from 23-26 August 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City which will showcase garments, leather goods, fabrics and machineries from participating countries, and help revive the interest of local and foreign investors in the Philippine garments, textile, leather goods and footwear industries. The expo is being organized by CP Exhibition Ltd and its local counterpart, Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corporation (PETCO), in partnership with the Confederation of Wearables Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP), Garments Manufactuers

Association of the Philippines (GARMAP), Textile Producers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (TEXPAP), Marikina Shoe Development Industry Office (MASINDO) and Board of Investments (BOI), among others.

BOI will support the funding of design and construction of the Philippine pavilion that will: (1) feature the Philippine garments, textiles, leather goods, and footwear industries through the products of participating industry associations; and (2) serve as the venue for business-tobusiness (B2B) meetings of government agencies and industry associations.
