Under the leadership of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), this EU-wide award procedure is intended to conclude a contract with a contractor for the digitization of analog photo stocks of WDR and Deutschlandradio.

In the context of this The tendering process requested services involve the digitization of analogue photosObestaende of the WDR in Cologne and that of the Deutschlandradios, Berlin, including the recording of the assigned metadata. Together, WDR and Deutschlandradio currently have approximately 1, 570 million photos from their company history. These are production, event or building photos, which are mainly available as negatives and transparencies. The digitization measure secures theunique image content that is not only important for the program and radio history of WDR and Deutschlandradio, but also for the cultural and scientific heritage of the states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. In addition to the transport of the photo materials and the data transfer, the order also includes a professional collection of defined stocks after successfulQuality control.

The bidder must declare that his company is entered in the professional or commercial register or, in the case of foreign bidders, in a comparable register.

1. Business Liability Insurance

The bidder has to declare that as a company he has taken out sufficient business liability insurance with the following minimum cover amounts or in the case ofOrder placement will be completed immediately:

- General property damage EUR 100, 000.00.
