Since the introduction of the raumfugenlosen Construction in the 70s of the last century, different standard constructions were used in the construction of concrete carriageways. The load-dependent structure of the road superstructure with the applicable standard construction methods has been specified for decades in the guidelines for the standardization of the superstructure of Verkehrsflaechen (RStO). According to the state of the art and reasonIn the past, RStO has been updated on the basis of scientific examinations combined with the accumulation of experience. The base course constructions executed under concrete pavements were accordingly adapted in the regulations. In the RStO, issue 1975 and 1986, for example, the construction method concrete surface on hydraulically bound base course in the compositecontain. From the RStO 01, however, a separation of the aforementioned two layers by means of nonwoven fabric. In the RStO 2012 edition, it was possible to replace the nonwoven fabric by placing an asphalt interlayer. In the past, a large number of rule building methods were carried out, whereby paradigm changes are recognizable. Regarding the time-dependent VeHowever, at present, there is insufficient knowledge of many wearing course constructions and their effects on the serviceability, durability and cost-effectiveness of concrete pavements. On the one hand, the project aims at reconstructing the base layer constructions under concrete ceilings in the course of a network analysis of BAB sections of a bundleslandes in terms of their long-term behavior and durability. On the other hand, the insights gained should be available for the future adaptation / revision of road-building regulations.
