The Road Dewatering and any necessary treatmentRoad surface water treatment plants are planned according to the requirements of the RAS-Ew and the RiStWag. As a guiding parameter for the assessment of the need for treatment no longer individual pollutants but the parameter AFS63 should be used. It represents the fine fraction of the solids (particle diameter 63 μm) and contains the main part of the particulate transportedPollutants.
A data base shall be established to assess the cleaning performance requirements for rainwater treatment of outlying roads and how they can be met by sedimentation facilities.
