"Barrier-free design of cross-systems at local crossings of federal highway"

For people with physical odeIn the case of sensory restrictions, barrier-free traffic room design has high relevance for self-reliant mobility. The design of cross-systems should address the different needs of these groups. The interests of cycling should not be neglected.

In a previous study by Boenke et al. (2014) wa board height of 3 cm was identified as a suitable compromise for people with impaired mobility or sight and the blind. Another possibility may be the formation of a crossing point with differentiated heights (double crossing). Due to structural or spatial constraints, however, these can not be implemented comprehensively and also demand a higher financial returnrceneinsatz. By Boenke et al. (2014), approaches to solutions have already been identified, which could lead to an optimal and for all without significant restrictions usable crossover point with economical use of financial resources. A combined (uniform) crossing point in the form of a ramp was used in combination with soil indicators for further investigationwhich is to be examined within the framework of this project and included as standard in the relevant regulations. In addition, altogether different forms of cross-plant implemented in practice are to be analyzed and evaluated. As a result, by determining the conditions of use on the basis of an overview, it should become clear when and which plant form should be used.

Visual contrasts are also to be considered as they play an important role for visually impaired persons in order to be able to move independently and safely in the public space. Here already implemented solutions are to be considered, so that a continuation of the E BVA is possible.
