It has been agreed nationwide that everyone who can do this must contribute to achieving the climate targets that the Netherlands has signed in Paris. In Governancethe objective for the built environment is to save another 2.5 petajoules of energy by 2020 and by 2040 all buildings must be energy-neutral. This also applies to sports property in the Netherlands. In order to achieve the necessary energy savings within the sports sector, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport is looking for innovative energy saving and generation methods that-will contribute to energy neutral sports facilities.
