Evaluation of the Apprentice Clause

The regulation on the obligation to require that apprentices are used in public contracts came into force on 1.1.2017. The aim of the regulation is to contribute to a sufficient number of training places for pupils in vocational education, a sufficient number of qualified workers with a certificate of apprenticeship or an advanced craft certificate, as well as to counteract financial criminality.

The government`s Strategy Against Working Life Criminality, last revised in February 2019, state that an evaluation of the apprentice requirement (the apprentice clause) will be evaluated in 2019. The 2017 regulations on the use of apprentices build on previous work and experience.
