The municipality of Utrecht intends to conclude three agreements with relating to inspection, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and cleaning of subgrndse waste containers. The municipality intends to award the contract to three bidders. The municipality awards the contract to the three tenderers with the three most economically advantageous tenders, based on the best price-quality ratio.
One of the municipality's statutory tasks is the collection of household waste in the municipality. The college has decided the bags collectionng to phase out and switch to the entire municipality for underground collection of household residual waste. The municipality currently has about 3, 500 underground waste containers.
In the coming years, new homes will be completed in, for example, the districts Vleuten-De Meern and Leidsche Rijn. The number of underground waste containers will therefore increase to an accident in the coming yearsr 4.000 units in 2018 to approximately 5, 000 units by 2020. From 2018 the municipality will start with the implementation of dynamic collection for all fractions. In this process, containers are emptied on the basis of filling degree.
