Electrical Maintenance and Minor Works Service Contract (1289).

Ealing Council wishes to procure an Electrical Maintenance and Minor Works Service Contract across our building stock borough-wide.

The service is the provision of design, installation and repair requirements of the door entry systems, maintenance of the warden call, fire and intruder alarms/emergency lightning and TV aerial.

This scope of service includes test, repair, upgrade elements, annual maintenance, minor works, upgrades, preventative planned maintenance and responsive repairs.

The council will enter into a contract based on the NEC3 Term Service Contract, amended and incorporating the documents stated in the tender pack.

The estimated contract value ranges from 13 000 000 GBP and 15 000 000. Guarantee cannot be given by Ealing Council with regards to the volume, trade requirement, value, duration, category nor continuity of the works.

It is the intention to award the contract to one main contractor across our building stock borough-wide.

The successful tenderer who scores the highest in the tender evaluation will be allocated the works across our stock borough-wide as the main contractor.

The service period is 4 years, unless extended by the Employer with the agreement of the Contractor. The Employer may propose one or more extensions to the service period up to a maximum of 4 further years by serving written notice to that effect on the Contractor. The service period is extended if the Contractor agrees to the extension.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met:

(a) appropriate statements from banks or, where appropriate, evidence of relevant professional risk indemnity insurance;

(b) the presentation of balance-sheets or extracts from the balance-sheets, where publication of the balance-sheet is required under the law of the country in which the economic operator is established;

(c) a statement of the undertaking's overall turnover and, where appropriate, of turnover in the area covered by the contract for a maximum of the last three financial years available, depending on the date on which the undertaking was set up or the economic operator started trading, as far as the information of these turnovers is available.
