Reference Number : SMART 2019/0015
The European Commission is committed to continue the work of the European Blockchain Observatory and Forum. The observatory has built a community with strong credibility around its events and thematic papers and has become a recognised player in Europe and on the international scene. The renewed EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum should help identify and provide analysis of the technological and organisational trends and developments and identify and analyse emerging issues in an agile way. It should identify and build on existing initiatives and organise discussions and workshops around topics where acting at EU level would be required or would have an impact in an open, constructive and reactive way. The renewed and widened EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum should monitor and analyse developments, clarify existing and emerging issues; build a top-notch knowledge environment; strengthen synergies with existing and upcoming initiatives; become a EU training hub on blockchain and DLT.
