Durham University are seeking to appoint executive recruitment agencies to assist with the recruitment of temporary, fixed-term and permanent senior roles within the University.
Main Site : Durham University, Stockton Road, Durham, DH1 3LE, UNITED KINGDOM.
The University are seeking to appoint a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 suppliers to service this lot. The job roles applicable for this lot are as follows, and without limitation:
— Head of School/Department/Institute,
— Dean,
— Head of College,
— Head/Deputy Head of Faculty,
— Other Senior Academic Roles.
Brief overview of roles within this lot:
Head of School(s) provide both academic and administrative leadership to the school, within the University's Statutes and the College Rules.
Head of College have individual responsibility and accountability to their Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor for the budgets and resources allocated to them by their Pro-Vice Chancellor. They also have responsibility for line management and mentorship of staff in their Colleges.
The Head of an academic department will normally serve as Chair of the Board of Studies with responsibility for academic standards in research and teaching.
Institute Director(s) are some of the most outstanding academic leaders and are responsible to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) (and through Research Committee to Senate) for strategic planning and the delivery of internationally-leading research through the Institute.
Dean(s) are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the academic leadership and management of a Faculty contributing towards policies that enhance the effectiveness of the University as a whole.
This is a 2-stage process.
Stage 1 suppliers will express and interest and complete online the Standard Questionnaire (SQ) only. Responses will be evaluated against set criteria.
Those suppliers successful at Stage 1 will then be invited to Stage 2 to complete the Invitation To Tender (ITT) document. Responses will be evaluated against set criteria.
