The subject of the call for proposals within this project is Stationary Dynamic Passenger Information (DFI), including display hardware and traffic information software, associated masts or holders, the communication components to the AConnection to the GSM / Ethernet network and the entire DFI background software.
Main Site: Stadtwerke Baden-Baden Waldseestrasse 24 76530 Baden-Baden Assembly and commissioning takes place at several locations in the city of Baden-Baden.
The public transport companies are a branch of business Stadtwerke Baden-Baden and operate with 47 buses, including 18 articulated buses, 26 solo buses, a Midibus and 213.7 meter buses for public transport in Baden-Baden and the surrounding area.
A dense network of lines and clocks is offered on 13 different lines with a total length of 194 kilometers, 196 stops and 361 stops. 95% of all passengers can reach their destination without having to change trains within the line network.
Since joining the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV) iIn 1996, the transport services will provide a single fare and tariff system throughout the region.
Within this project, the service quality for the passengers will be increased by a Dynamic Passenger Information System (DFI) at 4 selected stops.
The stops to be equipped in this project are as follows listed and the location of the stops
1) Baden-Baden train station;
2) Schweigrother Platz;
3) Leopoldsplatz;
4) Augustaplatz.
There are different types of construction available to cover the different requirements at different stops the stops
- station Baden-Baden (3 indications),
- Schweigrother place (2 indications),
- Leopoldsplatz (2 advertisements Luisenstrasse, 2 advertisements Sophienstrasse),
- Augustaplatz (4 advertisements).
Are double-sided TFT displays of size min. 32 "" in an outdoor housing offer.
For these ads is also an announcement device with buttons for the reading function of the content to offer.
For the overview display at Baden-Baden station is a double-sided TFT display of size min. 46 "" in an outdoor GehaeThe following objectives are pursued with the project:
- Fast and unambiguous orientation for the passengers,
- Combination of high-quality visual and acoustic information on the next bus trips and at the station additionally on train journeys,
- Integration of hardware and software in the existing IT infrastructure, inincluding data supply via the KVV data hub,
- TFT display technology with minimal follow-up costs (for service, maintenance, repair etc.),
- Automatic and error-free operation of the entire system.
