APUC Fresh Butcher Meat

The authority is seeking Contractor(s) for the provision of fresh butcher meat to include:

The scope of the Framework Agreement is for the supply and delivery of fresh butcher meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry, including processed meats, bacon, gammon, game and specialist meats e.g. PGI Status Scotch Beef and Halal).

ESPD 4B.5.1 and 4B5.2 Statement:

It is a requirement of the Framework Agreement that Contractors hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of contract award, the types and levels of insurance indicated below:

Employer's (compulsory) liability insurance = 5 000 000 GBPm

Product liability insurance = 5 000 000 GBPm

Public liability insurance = 5 000 000 GBP.

ESPD 4B.6 Statement:

To demonstrate and evidence suitable economic standing, successful Contractors will be required to provide 2 years audited accounts, or equivalent prior to award. Alternatively, if the Contractor is unable to provide the required accounting information, eg. a new business without the required accounts, then they will be required to provide a bankers letter demonstrating their willingness to support the Contractor organisation over the term of the Framework Agreement.

Where the bidder is providing a submission on behalf of a subsidiary company, upon request, the bidder must obtain a parent company guarantee prior to commencement of any subsequently awarded contract.

Form of tender:

Tenderers must sign the form of tender Appendix A prior to award to confirm that their tender response is a complete, true and accurate submission.

In partnership with institutions, the authority has developed a supply chain code of conduct Appendix D which sets out its expected standards for its supply chain in social, ethical and environmental compliance. Tenderers must complete the supply chain code of conduct document prior to award to assist in achieving its objectives.
