Fatigue Strength Testing Equipment

Testing equipment for gear tooth root fatigue strength testing. The purpose of the equipment is to make different kind of dynamic tests of materials, components and structures, e.g. defining lifetime under certain load level or fatigue strength or S/N-curve. In order sufficient amount of tests can be completed in reasonable period, the equipment must have reasonable testing frequency. Budgeted price 340 000 EUR (excluding VAT, VAT will be reverse charged) includes the equipment assembled at JAMK, ready for operation and training of operators, as well as options.

Main targets of the testing equipment are to facilitate relevant scale test gears for gearboxes and reasonable testing frequency that sufficient amount of tests can be completed in reasonable time frame. To facilitate increase in tooth root endurance strength in future, minimum loading capacity of 400 kN is required.
