Liquid Helium cryostat comprising a superconducting magnet

EPFL intends to acquire a liquid He cryostat compatible with a very high vacuum and comprising a superconductive magnet for the line of EPFL / PSI X-Treme light at the Swiss Light Source (SLS). The equipment will be part of a UHV system used to performX-ray absorption (XAS) and magnetic dichroism (XMCD) measurements on magnetic materials and nanostructures in high magnetic fields and at low temperature.
