Micro-CT X-ray scanner

EPFL intends to acquire a desktop micro-CT X-ray scanner. It will be dedicated to the mechanics of flexible structures:

EPFL intends to acquire a desktop micro-CT X-ray scanner. It will be dedicated to the mechanics of flexible structures:

- 3D imaging de precision of flexible structures during model experiments allowing the analysis and the comparison with theoretical models,

- mechanical and geometrical characterization of nodes for the study of the influence of the topology on the mechanics of different configurations of nodes,

- 3D visualisations and quantitative analyzes of the mechanical interactions between son and artificial skins in thecontext of surgical applications,

- mechanical and geometrical characterization of shells with structural defects for the study of buckling of shells,

- 3D analysis of porosity and insect wing structures for the study of interactions Fluid-structures with high and low Reynolds number.

Most of the structures that will be analyzed are made of polymeric materials.Partial offers are not allowed.

Indication of the remedies:

In accordance with art. 30 LMP, this publication may be attacked within 20 days of its notification.at the Federal Administrative Court, PO Box, 9023 St. Gallen. The appeal memorial, to be presented in 2 copies, will indicate the conclusions, reasons and means of proof and will bear the signature of the appellant party or his representative; A copy of this publication and the exhibits invoked as evidence will be attached, where available.
