Maintenance of a range of laboratory centrifuges based in various Health Boards and Trusts throughout Wales.
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate how their waste disposal strategy maximises the sustainable benefits associated. Additionally how the goods and service provided are ethical and mitigate the harmful effects on the environment and broader socio-economic factors. This includes the bidders Waste Disposal Strategy and efficient waste treatment processes, Waste Management Policies, Efficiencies in Supply Chain Management and use of Innovation in Waste Disposal, furthermore it should also include the bidders response to the minimisation of congestion and emissions through the use of technologies to ensure maximum efficiency in route planning, scheduling and load management, detail any training provided to drivers in relation to "environmentally conscious driving" as well as the use of modern engine specifications such as Euro VI engines, electrification or alternative fuels (5 % additive). Additionally the bidder should make reference to the environmental impact of the supply chain and reduction measures in Green House gas emissions and sustainable innovation in reference to the Wales Towards Zero Waste Policy.
