Hydraulic forming press

The area of production technology at HZG is to be expanded for material development and research in order to investigate and optimize the classical forming processes, such as sheet metal forming and massive forming, with regard to material behavior. For this purpose, the forming press described below is purchased wTo operate both classical sheet forming (deep drawing at room temperature, hot sheet forming of magnesium, aluminum and steel) and massive forming (extrusion at room temperature and elevated temperature, forging of aluminum, magnesium, titanium and steel materials). In addition to the hydraulic press for the forming of metal-plastic composites abe set. It should be noted that during the forming process the bollard must be able to stop at any time and at any position under load to inject plastic.

The Helmholtz Center Geesthacht Center for Materials and Coastal Research (HZG ) is a non-profit research organization and one of the 18 Member Establishmentsof the Hermann von Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers e. V. The expenditures of the HZG are financed to 90% by the federation (BMBF Federal Ministry for education and research) and to 10% by the 4 Konsortiallaendern (Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Brandenburg).

The statutory task of the society is, in the multidisciplinary research and development networkin the field of materials research, coastal, climatic and environmental research as well as regenerative medicine.

Within the HZG is the Institute for Materials Research, to which u. a. heard the Magnesium Innovation Center (MagIC). In addition to material development and research, the area of production technology at HZG is to be expanded to include the klassischen forming processes, such as sheet metal forming and massive forming to explore and optimize in terms of material behavior. For this purpose, the forming press described below is to be purchased to both the classical sheet metal forming (deep drawing at room temperature, hot sheet metal forming of magnesium, aluminum and steel), as well as the massive forming (extrusion molding at room temperatureand elevated temperature, forging aluminum, magnesium, titanium and steel materials). In addition, the hydraulic press should be used for the forming of metal-plastic composites. It should be noted that during the forming process, the bumpers must be able to stop at any time and at any position and under load in order to insert plasticscratch. Immediately following injection and a short residence time, further transformation is required. The tendered hydraulic press must therefore meet the below requirements strictly.
