Food and Feed Safety Crises Preparedness

EFSA has regularly organised crises preparedness exercises and activities in the past to plan and practice how to respond to possible emergency situations. To continue this effort, a multi-annual crisis preparedness training programme, building on the experience gained via previous urgent responses and preparedness exercises, should be developed and executed.

Type of contract: framework contract
Duration of tasks in direct contracts: 48 months from signature of the contract.
Budget information: the maximum budget EFSA has available is EUR 400 000. Any offer exceeding this maximum will not be retained for contract award.
The overall objectives of the contract resulting from the present procurement procedure are as follows:
• increase EFSA staff`s knowledge and understanding of general crisis handling concepts and specifically of EFSA`s crisis handling procedures;
• increase collaboration between EFSA and the institutional stakeholders that EFSA is likely to work with in incident/crisis situations in EFSA`s remit;
• support the continuous improvement of EFSA`s crisis handling procedures.
