OTM lifting gear legal controls

Framework service agreement in the field of lifting gear legal controls On Track Machines.

Framework agreement for carrying out:

- legal commissioning and periodical controls relating tolifting devices belonging to the category of lifting devices which circulate and operate on the railway infrastructure, including their lifting accessories.

For these legal checks, the framework agreement also includes the establishment of check sheets for each type of machine and, if necessary, for each variant of the same type,

- technical controls of commissioninge and periodicals of these same lifting machines.

These technical checks aim to guarantee the safety of workers as well as the operating safety of railway vehicles which run on adjacent tracks. Regarding operational safety, the purpose of technical inspections is to guarantee compliance with the railway gauge, regardless of the conditions of use.Among the technical parameters to be checked: lifting device in working situation, especially in curves with slopes,

- the proper functioning of systems that prohibit or limit trafficof the lifting device when the lifting members are deployed or in working mode,

- the proper functioning of systems which prohibit or limit the movement of the lifting members when the conditions of use intended to guarantee work safety do are not respected.

For these technical inspections, the framework agreement also includes the establishment of inspection sheets forur each type of machine and, if applicable, for each variant of the same type.

Regarding legal controls and technical commissioning, they are carried out in different manufacturing sites of lifting equipment. These sites, if necessary, can be located anywhere in Europe.

Regarding periodic legal and technical checks, they can be carried out anywhere in Belgium.r selection guide in annex.
