Inventory of built heritage in Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

The Services of Sites and Monuments proposes to recruit, under the status of independent intellectual worker (freelance), a person for the realization of a part of the scientific inventory of the built heritage of Luxembourg. A contract of'Expert is thus proposed for the period from 11 February to 31.12.2019.

The Service of sites and monuments proposes to recruit, under the status of independent intellectual worker (freelance), a person for the realization of a part of the scientific inventory of the built heritage of Luxembourg. An expert contract is thus proposed for the period from 11 February to 31.12.2019.is to be developed according to the qualifications required. The interested persons can submit their application until 31.1.2019 to the National Sites and Monuments Service.

Qualifications:

- degree in architecture or history of art; alternatively an equivalent degree,

- practical experience in the inventorying of the built heritage,

- knowledge ofthe history of the building, the architectural styles and building materials of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg,

- practice of MS-Office, Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign and other computer tools necessary for data processing,

- good oral knowledge and written in French and German, the Luxembourgish being considered as an advantage,

- driving license and vehicle.

Missions:

- scientific inventorying of the above-ground building heritage of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in accordance with the directives and criteria established by the Ministry of Culture / Department of National Sites and Monuments, - scientific research on inventories, - preparation of texts advancing the reasons and arguments for protection of inventories objects,

- data base management work.
