Description: The contract includes the acquisition of a geographical information system (GIS) to Norlys. In addition to the acquisition of the geographical information system, the contract also includes conversion of data from two current GIS systems.

GIS is used in contracting entity primarily for registration and maintenance of geographical data on the electricity distribution network infrastructure and supporting geographical data, among other things. Basic data, cadastral data and data from other publicly available geographical records.

Data is used in connection with design, analysis and reporting. Data is exhibited both internally and externally via web services for Webgis, desktop GIS and websites.

The contracting entity also makes use of mobile apps for viewing, registration and editing of data in the field as well as 3rd party solutions where GIS data or apps are integrated in whole or in part in the solutions.
